‘Styling For The Cure’ — 3rd Annual Pamper Day for Breast Cancer Survivors

“Every year we take time to give back. On this day we aim to acknowledge, encourage and empower women who have been directly affected by this disease in one way or another. We want to remind them that they are beautiful and maybe lift someone’s self-esteem or just put a simple smile on a face…a joy in itself”, Toshia Thompson tells. As owner of S.A.S (Savvy Accessories Salon), she has headed the Northern California Chapter of this organization since it’s beginning in 2011. Thompson states that she and a friend and colleague, KY Smith (owner /operator of Folliclez 360 Salon) wanted to do something for breast cancer awareness. Smith came up with ‘Styling for the Cure’ and heads the Southern California Chapter. “It has been extremely rewarding. I travel to So. Cal. just to be a part of Pamper Day there”, Thompson explains.
