Here are my new business cards (front and back). It’s the hardest thing to pick two photos out of the millions that I have, or maybe it’s billions? Somehow I was able to make a decision. Even better news is that, after the pain and suffering of picking two photos that hopefully will make everyone who sees them want to hire me (wink wink), the printer sends me and email saying: “Hi TaSin. I write for the PsPrint Blog and I came across the business cards you ordered. I’d love to include them in a blog series that showcases neat design printed here at PsPrint.” !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you tell how excited I was to get that email. Well the blog is up and you can check it here http://blog.psprint.com/printing/redwood-day-school-rock-scissor-paper/

Senior portraits are soooo much better now-a-days. I remember when I took my senior photo, I went to a studio put on a weird black shrug, tilted my head to one side and smiled. Don’t get me wrong I loved the pic and thought I looked sophisticated in my faux fur shrug but if I would’ve had the choice to take my photo on location in a cute outfit I wouldn’t have to think very long. This young lady graduated at 16 years old and is on her way to Mills College which was the perfect backdrop for this photo shoot. Congratulations class of 2013. It’s a thrill to meet your true love at any age. This exciting couple emphasized the union of marriage, the importance of Islamic law and kept the ceremony simple and family centered. The venue was decorated in vibrant colors and smelled of home cooked food. It was definitely my pleasure to be one of the few invited to this special occasion.
Today I photographed the beautiful and talented jewelry designer Caroline from Urban Antiq. Not only was it a blast but I left for home with one of a kind earrings and necklaces. The last time I bartered with an artist was when I designed a website for an architect in exchange for a studio built in my backyard. Money comes in and you can’t even remember what you spend it on…but when you barter you never forgot. If you are a business owner and would like to inquire about trade for photography or design work please contact me.
My first attempt at covering an event as the official face painter and the event photographer. And it went smoothly. I do have to say I was impressed with myself especially when it came to documenting myself face painting. To do this I set up a camera with a remote control and while I painted the children I had it click clicking away.
Growing up we didn’t take holiday pictures and that is something that I wish we would have done. It’s so easy. Once a year snap a shot. Now that im a grown up (kind of) I make sure to always have my camera ready but also to make a point to take a group shot during those rare times when aunts and uncles and nieces and siblings are in the same place at the same time. Check out these shots of this beautiful family from San Diego. They made a trip out to Oakland CA and while they were here they took advantage of TaSin Sabir Photography. Contact me and your family could be next 🙂
These images were taking at Oakland’s Lake Temescal.
